Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 pm Saturday
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Jenkins, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Screven, Tattnall, Emanuel, Treutlen and counties in eastern Georgia as well as Allendale, Beaufort , Colleton, Hampton and Jasper counties in South Carolina south to 22 hours on Saturday evening.
This watch includes the cities of Claxton, Darien, Fort McAllister, Halfmoon Landing, Hinesville, Ludowici, Pembroke, Reidsville, Savannah, Townsend, Tybee Island, Allendale, Beaufort, Charleston, Edisto Beach, Hampton, Hilton Head, Jasper, Metter, Millen , Moncks Corner, Ridgeland, Springfield, St. George, Statesboro, Summerville, Sylvania, and Walterboro.
A line of severe thunderstorms will continue pushing into the region tonight. Some storms will be capable of producing winds over 60 mph and hail up to quarter size and half dollar. The threat should diminish later tonight.

A group of supporters gathered Monday morning with Sprague Oglethorpe Square as she announced her candidacy and shared some of its objectives, including making it safer Savannah.
