Bank of America should be able to tell you who owns the loan and the program's website does state that the loans owned by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac are eligible for refinancing affordable housing, it does not sound like it ' is the case here and its probably why you do not qualify because you are looking to refinance and you are not past due to not qualify for the modification program is a little more flexible. Thank you for your prompt response. I checked my loan by Fannie Mae. My other question is that since I'm running on my payments, but I feel that my mortgage balance is more than my house is worth, I always try to refinance without a loan modification? Is not this the kind of affordable housing program designed to reward responsible borrowers home? Rates are low and in these difficult economic times, if you save why not?
